Deepam (Susan) Wadds offers treatments in Osho Rebalancing massage and Osho Tibetan Pulsing Healing.

Osho Rebalancing was brought into being in the 1980’s with the help of numerous health practitioners from several modalities, including Postural Integration, Rolfing, Traeger, Massage, Cranial Sacral Balancing and Alexander techniques. Under the guidance of the Indian enlightened mystic, Osho (then Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh). Rebalancing was formed with its primary focus on developing self awareness through compassionate, sensitive touch. The many techniques taught in the Rebalancing training allow for great freedom of choice in assisting clients in releasing chronic holding patterns that contribute to pain and illness, whether the issue be primarily structural/muscular or emotional/psychological.

A little more about Deep-Tissue work:

The main differences between deep tissue massage and traditional massage are the pressure applied to the muscles and the speed with which the practitioner works.  Deep tissue massage can, as the name implies, apply deep pressure and works the muscle very slowly.  This releases an enormous amount of tension, and can create strong sensation. It is important to communicate any discomfort to your practitioner.  A sensitive practitioner will find that place which is interesting, never out and out painful. Pain causes the body to tighten and tense, and the aim of the massage is to release tension and restore fluidity to muscles. That is why the work is slow – to allow the body to adjust to the intensity and let go from the inside; to work with the practitioner. Ideally, the practitioner seeks to find that place that gets your attention, brings your awareness to the places that are tense or painful, so that you can let go of the holding patterns that have created it. Some clients have used the phrase, “It hurts so good,” because the body instinctively knows that behind the ouch is an ahhh.

Breath is an essential component of a deep massage – a full open breath with an exhale like a deep sigh, will bring tremendous release along with the applied deep touch. With each release the client comes closer to inhabiting a restored and rejuvenated body. One client has remarked, “It feels like I’m floating around in a renewed body in softer world. It really feels like that.”

*the deep work releases endorphins which often creates a feeling of euphoria

* after the initial treatments it is recommended to have a bath with Epsom salts to pull out the lactic acid created. This prevents the body from stiffening up the next morning.
